Cabinet meeting
Former Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha has opened up on her life since she was dismissed from the Kenya Kwanza Cabinet.
Speaking on Friday in Bungoma County at the burial of Governor Kenneth Lusaka’s mother, Nakhumicha implied that life had been hard for her since President Ruto made changes to his cabinet and left her out.
Nakhumicha mentioned that because of the uniqueness of her name, most people still identified her as the Cabinet Secretary for Health. She noted that this situation made it difficult for her to interact freely with people.
The former CS went ahead to ask Bishop Jackson Ole Sapit to include her in his prayers.
“Bishop pray for me, you know it is not easy to have been a minister then all of a sudden you are just Nakumicha, and you know my name is unique,” Nakhumicha lamented.
“When you say Nakhumicha, that name is distinct, and associate it with the Health CS position. Please continue praying for me, God has blessed me and I still expect more blessings,” she added.

On 11 July, Ruto sent home all the cabinet secretaries and the Attorney General, Justin Muturi, citing the feedback he received from an unimpressed Kenyan public.
President Ruto appointed a new set of cabinet secretaries, including those from the previous cabinet, two weeks later.
The Head of State also included some allies of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his broad-based Cabinet.
While unveiling the new Cabinet, Ruto mentioned that the new government would assist him in accelerating and expediting the implementation of the Kenya Kwanza Government Programme, including other radical measures and programs to address the debt burden, increase revenue collection, create employment opportunities, eliminate waste and unnecessary duplication of government agencies and fight corruption.
