IEBC Launches Enhanced Voter Registration Exercise in 5 Areas

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced the resumption of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and the commencement of an Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise in five electoral areas.

In a statement on Thursday, June 25, IEBC said the month-long mass voter registration exercise runs from June 25 to July 25, 2026.

The registration exercise will be conducted in Mbeere North Constituency, Porro Ward in Samburu West Constituency, Endo Ward in Marakwet East Constituency, Emurua Dikirr Constituency, and Malava Constituency.

“IEBC gives notice that there will be Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) of voters from Thursday, 25th June, 2026 to Saturday, 25th July, 2026 in the following electoral areas: Mbeere North Constituency, Porro County Assembly Ward in Samburu West Constituency, Endo County Assembly Ward in Marakwet East Constituency,  Emurua Dikirr Constituency and Malava Constituency,” read the IEBC notice in part.

The registration drive will be conducted every day of the week, including weekends, throughout the registration period across the five areas.

The exercise will be conducted at County Assembly Ward level, constituency offices, Huduma Centres, institutions of higher learning located within the specified electoral areas, as well as the commission’s Customer Experience Centre on the ground floor of Anniversary Towers.

The electoral commission said the enhanced registration drive is aimed at ensuring eligible voters in the affected areas are registered ahead of the upcoming electoral processes.

Upon completion of the ECVR exercise on July 25, the commission said Continuous Voter Registration and the regular revision of the Register of Voters will continue at constituency offices across the affected areas.

The commission urged eligible Kenyans who are not yet registered as voters to take advantage of the exercise and register within the stipulated timelines.

“Upon conclusion of the ECVR exercise, Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and regular revision of the Register of Voters will continue at the respective Constituency Offices from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m,” IEBC added.
