Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has appealed to Kenyans to contribute to his 2027 presidential campaign kitty.
Speaking on Saturday, June 6 evening, during an event at Emara Ole Sereni in Nairobi, Kalonzo said cartels will not fund his campaign, because it is a movement by the people and for the people.
“Our campaign and the Komboa Kenya movement will not be funded by cartels, because it is a movement by the people and for the people.
“Every shilling given by an honest Kenyan carries more value than any cheque written in pursuit of favour. This is a campaign built on trust, sacrifice, and a shared belief in a better future for our country. Stand with it. Support it. Own it,” said Kalonzo.
At the same time, Kalonzo launched his presidential campaign digital platform dubbed Komboa Kenya.
The former vice president explained that the digital platform will allow Kenyans to interact directly with his campaign.
Kalonzo noted that his supporters can ask questions, raise concerns, and challenge his ideas using the platform.
“Through our AI-powered platform, every Kenyan, wherever you are, can interact directly with this campaign, ask your questions, raise your concerns, and challenge our ideas. You deserve answers grounded in honesty, substance, and respect,” said Kalonzo.
Further, Kalonzo positioned the Komboa Kenya movement as an alternative path, prioritising inclusive governance, meritocracy, and service-driven leadership.
“Komboa Kenya offers a different path. It offers leadership grounded in experience, tested by adversity, and guided by principle,” Kalonzo explained.
Kalonzo is among the politicians who declared ambitions to unseat President William Ruto in the 2027 General Election.
Others include: PLP leader Martha Karua, former Chief Justice David Maraga and former ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.
