Political activist Morara Kebaso has confirmed that he has joined the Jubilee Party ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking during an interview on Monday, June 29, Morara said the decision was informed by political realities in the Gusii region.
Morara explained that leaders must work within existing political realities if they hope to connect with voters.
“The INJECT Party will be put on the shelf. For now, we are working with Dr. Fred Okengo Matiang’i’s Jubilee Party.
“I joined Jubilee because we have to embrace the realities on the ground. In Borabu and the entire Gusii region, you cannot mention another party. People simply won’t accept it, and you don’t want to make them emotional because they will not listen to the message you have,” said Morara.
The political activist is seeking to vie for the Borabu constituency parliamentary seat on a Jubilee ticket in the upcoming general election.
Morara rose to national prominence during the 2024 anti-Finance Bill protests through his Vampire Diaries series, where he exposed stalled government projects.
He then launched the Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party, positioning it as a youth-driven party.
Morara briefly joined the United Opposition camp but exited the outfit weeks later, saying he was disappointed with one of the politicians in the opposition coalition,
“Inject Party has found it very difficult to continue associating itself with leaders who think tribalism, speak tribalism and plan tribalism. Our party is not founded on tribal hate as the basis of political change. It is our desire to work with other leaders and other political parties, if and only if their values are aligned to ours,” said Morara.
