A family dispute in Kisumu has taken a dramatic turn after a mother stood her ground in court, revealing a shocking truth that left two of her sons disinherited.
The two sons have moved to court to contest their mother’s decision to also allocate their last-born brother part of the deceased dad’s estate.
The brothers argued that their brother was not their father’s biological son and therefore had no legal claim to the inheritance.
They demanded that the boy vacate the 10-acre farm, which the mother had allotted him. They further sought to have the entire estate preserved solely in their names.
However, the mother strongly rejected the claims, maintaining that the younger son was indeed her late husband’s biological child and therefore entitled to a share of the estate.
The mother accused her elder sons of acting out of greed and repeatedly reminded the court that she alone knew the truth of her marriage.
The 2 brothers publicly pointed fingers at their mother in court and demanded that the younger brother undergo a DNA test.
The mother eventually agreed, but on condition that all three sons undergo DNA testing, arguing that fairness demanded equal scrutiny.
She insisted that whosoever returned negative results was to forfeit the property that had been gifted to him and made them swear an affidavit before the presiding judge, which they delightedly did.
DNA tests confirmed that only the youngest son was biologically related to the deceased father.
The two elder brothers were found not to be his children and were immediately disqualified from inheriting any part of the estate.
The ruling effectively transferred full inheritance rights to the last-born son, whom his elder brothers had sought to evic,t bringing the bitter family dispute to an unexpected and dramatic end
