President William Ruto has appointed Prof Paul Wachana as the Chairperson of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA).
In a gazette notice dated Friday, October 19, Wachana will lead KIPPRA for the next 3 years effective October 18, 2024.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 (2) of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint— Paul Wachana (Prof.) to be the Chairperson of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA), for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 18th October, 2024,” read the notice.
Wachana is currently a university don at the Chandaria School of Business, United States International University-Africa(USIU).
On the other hand, Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi appointed Florence Chemtai as a member of the Kenya Trade Network Agency Board for three years.
Mbadi also appointed Lorian Mona Okongo as a member of the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board for three years.
‘’In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act, the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning reappoints— LORIAN MONA OKONGO to be a member of the Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 18th October, 2024,” the notice stated.
Mining Cabinet Secretary Joho on his part appointed eight members to the Meru County Artisanal Committee.
The eight include; Jackson Muthamia, Shadrack Nzaliu, Kirimi Mwiandi, John Kinyua Mugira, Damiano Kaaria Kamau, Purity Muthoni Kinyua, Daisy Maina, and Ndumbi Mwenda Thaa.
At the Ministry of Agriculture, CS Andrew Karanja appointed Elijah Karitu Nguyo to the board of the Kenya Animal Genetics Resource Centre for a three-year term.
