
President William Ruto has appointed Lynette Njeru as the new Chairperson of the Railway Development Levy Fund Board (RDLF).
According to a gazette notice dated Friday, August 21, Njeru will serve on the board for a period of three years.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 (4C) (a) of the Miscellaneous Fees and Levies (Amendment) Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Lynette Njeru to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Railway Development Levy Fund Board,” the notice read in part.
President Ruto also reappointed Joseah Kiplangat Cheruiyot as Chairperson of the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Board of Management for another three-year term.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) (a) of the Kenya Medical Training College Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, re-appoint— Joseah Kiplangat Cheruiyot to be the Chairperson of the Board of Management of the Kenya Medical Training College, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 21st August, 2026” the notice read.
The Head of State further appointed Dr Martin Koyabe as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Cybersecurity Agency.
Koyabe will also serve for a three-year term effective August 21.
In other appointments, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has appointed Hassan Kirua as a Member of the National Campaign Against Drug Abuse Authority Board, for a period of three (3) years, with effect from the 2nd September, 2026.
Transport CS Davis Chirchir appointed Stephen Mutai to be a Member of the Board of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 21st August, 2026.
