Gachagua Handshake with President Ruto
Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday called on Kenyans to pray for President William Ruto.
Speaking during a church service at St James ACK Cathedral in Kiambu town, Gachagua said the Head of State has a huge task and needed prayers.
He said Kenyans should pray for wisdom for the President so that he can navigate the challenges affecting the country.
“I ask Kenyans to remain peaceful and pray for our President William Ruto to give him the wisdom to navigate the challenges affecting the Kenyan people. Our people are feeling helpless because of economic adversities, over taxation, and failing health systems,” Gachagua said.
He added “The President has a big job to do. We want to ask prayers for him, for God to give him wisdom so that Kenyans can get some relief as they go about their businesses.”

Gachagua
This was Gachagua’s first public appearance since he was discharged from Karen Hospital a week ago.
The embattled DP in a press briefing after being discharged from the hospital attacked President Ruto saying he was shocked at how a man whom he had “helped to become president … believed in” could turn against him.
He claimed that he survived two assassination attempts by state agents one in Kisumu County and another in Nyeri County.
“I didn’t know President Ruto could be that vicious. I am so shocked by how vicious a man I helped to be president, that I believed in, I was persecuted for supporting him, could be so vicious against me when I am literally fighting for my life in hospital,” he said.
He therefore stated that if anything happens to him and his family, President Ruto should be held responsible.
