The rift in jubilee seems to grow wider each day.Events that have taken place the past few days point towards  a crisis in the ruling party.

In a move that will rock the party even more a section of Jubilee Mps have called for the resignation of Mr Raphael Tuju as Secretrary General.

Led by Tetu Mp Gichuhi Mwangi and Mathira Mp Rigathi Gachagua the Mps have termed it as unacceptable that the party`s Secretary General is the one strategizing for the opposition.

Speaking in different functions the leaders   demanded that Mr Tuju resign immediately. “We are chosen as representatives of the people through the jubilee and our Secretary General should resign if he is now tired of working with Jubilee” , said Mr Gichuhi  Mwangi.

Mathira Mp Rigathi Gachagua called for the removal of party officials who were not promoting the Jubilee agenda come the next part elections. “We have now realized that he is Raila Odinga`s Chief Strategist and this cannot be accepted. We are saying that he either resigns from Jubilee or we are going to remove him”   he added.

A tweet by Deputy President William on Sunday that hit out at Raphael Tuju for allegedly  working with the opposition has been the latest statement that has increased speculation about the rift in jubilee.

The Deputy president and his suppoters have been calling for Tuju`s dismissal for what they claim is running down he party.

In his response to The Dp`s allegations Mr Tuju said he did not want to be drawn into a public debate with the Deputy President because he is his boss in the party. He added that he is committed to supporting President  Kenyatta`s efforts to unite the country through the various initiatives he has set out as Jubilee agenda.
