NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg stated that China is worsening the European conflict by siding with Russia against Ukraine.
Stoltenberg underlined the importance of China’s backing for Russia in the Ukraine crisis.
He observed a significant surge in the sale of machine parts, microelectronics, and other technology used by Moscow to manufacture missiles, tanks, and aircraft for the war with Ukraine.
“China says it wants to maintain good relations with the West. At the same time, however, Beijing is fueling the war in Europe. You can’t have it both ways,” said Stoltenberg.
Stoltenberg emphasized that there are no plans to send NATO soldiers to Ukraine or extend the alliance’s air defense cover to Ukraine, emphasizing that NATO will not get involved in the crisis.
Stoltenberg urged NATO members to increase their support for Ukraine, saying, “It is not too late for Ukraine to win.
We must deliver more weaponry and ammunition to Ukraine, especially air defense systems and long-range weapons. He emphasized the importance of allies renewing their military stocks and increasing weapon and ammunition production capacity.
He stated: “If (Russian President Vladimir) Putin gets his way in Ukraine, there will be no long-term security in Europe, and the world as a whole will become more unstable.”
“We must prevent Russia from engaging in additional actions. “A policy of appeasement with Putin will fail,” he added.
