KeNHA Announces 2 Day Disruptions On Lang’ata Road

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced the temporary closure of a section of Nairobi’s Lang’ata Road.

In a traffic advisory notice on Friday, KeNHA said the road will be closed between the T-Mall roundabout and the Madaraka Roundabout from Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25 from 6 am to 8 pm. and will affect the city-bound section of the service lane.

The Authority said that the temporary closure will occur due to planned road maintenance works along the section.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, along the service lane (Nyayo Stadium bound lane) between T-Mall Roundabout and Madaraka Roundabout will be closed. This follows planned road maintenance works along the section.

“The section will be closed on Saturday, February 24, 2024, and Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 6.00 am to 8.00 pm,” KeNHA announced.

KeNHA advised motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and corporate with police officers and traffic marshals on site.

Motorists from Raila Odinga Way, Mai Mahiu Road and Lang’ata Road heading towards Madaraka Roundabout were advised to use the Ole Sangale Link Road.

“Motorists from Raila Odinga Way, Mai Mahiu Road, and Lang’ata Road heading towards Madaraka Roundabout are advised to take Ole Sangale Link or turn at T-Mall Roundabout and proceed to the U-turn just after Wilson Airport exit and take the Flyover towards Madaraka as illustrated,” KeNHA added.

The closure of Lang’ata Road comes a fortnight after the Authority announced temporary traffic disruption along both carriageways of Mombasa Road between Ole-Sereni and Athi River Interchange.
