Wiper party leader and NASA co-principle, Kalonzo Musyoka has been appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as his Special Envoy to South Sudan.
According to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the appointment resonates with Kenya`s obligation towards mutual prosperity in the region.
“The president has appointed Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, former Vice President as his Special Envoy to the Republic of South Sudan,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affirms statement issued on Tuesday night.
According to the statement, Kalonzo is also presumed to escalate the implementation of the revitalized agreement on the conflict resolution in South Sudan.
This appoint is considered as an enrichment to Kalonzo`s peacekeeping role assigned to him by President Uhuru Kenyatta last year.
KDRTV understands that President Uhuru Kenyatta had petitioned to the leadership of South Sudan to consolidate the peace mission to boost the country`s social and economic growth.
During the time when South Sudan`s 8th anniversary of independence is a few days away, Mr. Kenyatta urged the South Sudan leadership to give a death ear to critics and prophets of doom by downplaying their differences and embracing unity, peace, and security to their country.
