Sports and Youth Affairs Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba’s ex- wife, Prisca Mwaro has been found dead at her house in Nairobi.
According to family sources, the cause of her death is yet to be established.
The deceased had celebrated her birthday on Tuesday, March 7, hours before her sudden death.
“We’re still seeking to establish what led to the death of our loved one, Prisca. We are yet to get answers for quite a number of questions,” said a close family member.
A close person to Mwaro said she had gone through a lot in the last three years and might have given up the fight.
“She might have given up the fight,” the close friend said as quoted by the Standard
Mwaro worked as an administrator at Kengen from 2010, and regularly posted and reshared Kengen content on her social media pages.
She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Human Resources) from the University of Nairobi.
CS Namwamba got married to Prisca Mwaro in 2015 but the two divorced three years later in 2018. The couple was blessed with three children.
Their love was celebrated in social circles, with the couple attending national functions during Namwamba’s tenure as Budalangi Member of Parliament.
Accusations of infidelity are said to have been the primary reason why Mwaro and Namwamba’s marriage broke down.
Before ending her marriage, Mwaro had to repeatedly put an end to rumors that her marriage was in trouble.
In a previous interview, her brother said that their attempts to reconcile separately had failed.
“I have told him that he is part of our family since they have three children with Priscah, and in such cases, ties between families cannot be ignored, and it was up to him to decide whether he still wants to live with Prisca or not.
“You cannot force a man to live with a woman. If he has decided to call it quits with our daughter, so be it. I pleaded with him, but he was adamant and unforgiving,” Patrick said.
The body of the late Mwaro has been moved to the MP Shah Hospital morgue.
