It is very devastating for a parent to lose a child, it is even worse when a parent loses two daughters in the hands of an uncle through defilement and therein murder.
Residents of Kenyenya Village in Kisii County were disturbed by the sad and devastating news of the defilement and murder of two young sisters aged four and six years respectively.
Instances of defilement and murder have been on the rise in the recent months, children and students have been the target.
The two girls were attacked, defiled and murdered in broad daylight with their parents away for work, among the suspects being an uncle.
The father to the girls, who is a deputy head teacher narrated the incident as witnessed after reaching home.
He explained that he left work and got home a few minutes to five in the evening when he met the most drastic happening that he wished would turn into a nightmare.
The father reached the gate and as usual instead of the girls running to open with happiness, he was met by silence and no response an indication that all was not well.
He decided to jump over the fence and got into the house only to meet his two daughters lifeless on the floor. The father realized that the eldest daughter’s under pants had been removed and left for dead.
Ideally, the younger daughter was in the same state in the room extending to the kitchen.
The parents are in a very painful state of losing two children through such heinous acts as they were peace keepers and never attracted enemies of any kind.
The residents and neighbors however suspect it as a ritual killing case and demanding urgent investigations and conclusions into the matter.
The Kisii County commandant Martin Kibet confirmed the happening and added that four suspects were arrested and in custody over the same, among them being an uncle to the girls and an ex-convict who had been released from prison.
